| The Library
This is the living memory of Hekateros. I invite all members to add to the histories and stories collected within the Hekateros library. Tell me species lore, stories of heroes and damsels in distress. Small myths, old diaries, and textbook histories. Lists, statistics, and passionate tales of romance. This library collects it all. To have your story submitted, PM it to an admin for approval.

| The City |
| Murial Beach
The clean, sandy beach faces west. From there one can see what many consider to be the loveliest sunsets in the world. The sand is white and soft. The water is clear and warm. Shark sightings are rare. The biggest threat is usually from sting rays, but they tend to be docile unless you step on one. Murial Beach is a popular place for jet skis, surfing, parasailing, and many other water sports.

| Juno Square
In the heart of Hekateros lies a large square. Tuesday evenings and Thursday nights, the square is transformed into the Hekateros Flea Market. Fridays and Saturdays the local bands come to play. The oaks that line the square are lit up every night with lights ranging from meager white Christmas lights to elaborate lanterns and decorative baubles. Juno Square is a popular, family friendly hangout spot every night of the week.

| Magdalene Wood
To the north of Hekateros rests a dark forest. It is considered dangerous among the citizens of the city. The forest is always dark, protected as it is by thick leaves and closely knit trees. The sun is hardly able to touch the forest on even the clearest of days. Thin, yellow beams break free in magical bursts of light that are terribly rare. Only a few clearings exist within the wood.

| The Majesties
Jokingly named, these small hills are covered in small purple flowers reminding the genius who named them of the American song, “America the Beautiful”. They may not be majestic mountains, but they are a lovely sight to behold. Technically, the property is private. That does not stop youngsters from daring escapades, long walks, and romantic rendezvous!

| The Jordan Property
At first glance, The Jordan Property seems pretty dull. It’s a long stretch of pretty much nothing. Upon closer inspection, however, one can get a glimpse of the old hotel. It burned down about fifty years before and nobody ever bothered to get it fixed back up. Although trespassing is illegal, nobody seems to mind the risk. The place is rumored to be haunted, but most of the danger seems to come from drunk teenagers toppling off the top floor!

| Heart's Mall
It’s just a mall. Nobody really knows why people tend to die in it. Mostly, this little fact is ignored. See, teenage girls like designer clothes. Teenage boys like teenage girls. Adults needs jobs. Children like ice cream and miniature mall rides. Business goes on and everybody can forget about the things that go bump in the night. Just make sure you use the buddy system!

| Simon University
Although considered to be a good college by most, this university is even more special that the average citizen realizes. It offers special classes to young immortals in controlling their newly acquired abilities. These classes are secret and can only be entered by providing a letter of recommendation (from a character’s sire or a character who is able to sire). Simon University is more than just a college; it is a haven for the newly turned.

| Zahara
Although considered to be a good college by most, this university is even more special that the average citizen realizes. It offers special classes to young immortals in controlling their newly acquired abilities. Simon University is more than just a college; it is a haven for the newly turned.

| The Promontorium
This museum is a surprisingly popular hangout. It does tend to attract tourists, but once you get over the crowd it is rather nice. It looks out over the ocean and has its own aquarium with an aquatic petting zoo. The museum also rescues animals from the forest and acts as a wildlife reserve as well as having a planetarium, science “lab” for children, and a fantastic art section.

| Wilmot Avenue
Nice, quiet, serene. This neighborhood has a lot to offer its inhabitants, including monthly block parties and lots of barbeques. The residents are wonderful and mostly human. Odd, then, that this neighborhood would attract so much supernatural attention! Nobody likes to talk about that, though. Funny thing about humans. They tend to ignore what they do not understand.

| The Mark Antony Apartments
The living conditions here are, for the most part, okay. The air conditioning works (usually) and the ceilings don’t leak (hopefully). The price is fair, the landlord lax, and the rules unenforced. Technically, there are no pets allowed. Most of the residents that live in The Mark Antony possess them anyway. The apartments are wonderfully private, with good thick walls; a perfect place for shady business!

| Diamond Plaza
Yeah, the name is ironic. The Diamond Plaza is by far the poorest, seediest place in all of Hekateros. This is the home of over three gangs, one of which is entirely human, five pawnshops that deal almost exclusively in stolen goods, and the infamous black market. That market can get you anything your black heart desires so long as you are willing to pay the price. Be careful what you wish for; the prices run high.

| Jelani Estates
As opposite to Diamond Plaza as you could get, the Jelani Estates is the richest part of Hekateros. The homes there cost millions and there is a long waiting list to own them. They all have an ocean view and a minimum of eight bedrooms. The community is gated, patrolled, and considered very safe. Oddly, the inhabitants that call it home tend to be far more dangerous than anyone trying to get in uninvited…

| Theudric Mountain
Fern’s dwelling place. This mountain lies just north of Hekateros. It is constantly foggy, very cold, and very wet. Hiking is not permitted. Those who trespass tend to never leave. Fern’s place lies near the top of the mountain, where there is always snow. Her cottage is surrounded by ice sculptures…or frozen innocents. It’s hard to tell, really. Only those who swear fealty to the Cult of Leviathan may traverse her mountain without fear.
